Challenge Onion Rings - Part 2

Last Saturday we were supposed to go to Red, Hot & Blue but the girls wanted to head up to the Purple Cow. The Purple Cow is a fun diner style restaurant where as you would guess everything revolves around the color purple and cows and some purple cows. We enjoyed onion rings and purple vanilla milk shakes - yummo!

Rating:

Izzie B - 4 stars - love them
Libby - 4 stars love them
Camdyn - 4 stars breading, 0 stars onions
Jody - 2 stars - the onions are a little thick for my taste.

Challenge Onion Rings

I just had my phone and didn't realize it was on video, not photo until they were all gone.

We girls LOVE our onion rings and since there is no Ab's in Texas, we are in search of the best onion rings. Restaurants we are trying are: Salt Grass; Red, Hot & Blue; Kincaid's and The Purple Cow.

Up first is Salt Grass: The make the yummiest "fried onions". They are not the traditional onion ring but they are thinly sliced and lightly fried and are accompanied with a spicy sauce.

Scoring:

Izzie B: 3 of 4 stars - totally opposite fast food onion rings

Libby: 1/2 of 4 stars - overwhelming, did not like at all

Camdyn: 4 of 4 stars - tasty

Jody: 3 of 4 stars - very good, but the sauce was a little to spicey for my taste. I like the thinly sliced rings but they are very messy to eat.

Up next in the challenge - Red, Hot & Blue (will have to wait until Izzie gets home from girls camp)
